Reference Models
These are the reference models I created to aid with designing cases and other projects. I tried my best to be faithful to the specs where it matters, but periodically still find a small issue here and there and update the model.
I am making these models available for anyone to use in their own design adventures. Feel free to download and use as you see fit, but please cite Redshift Project as the source.
I would caution you against treating these models as a golden reference. Rather, use
them as a visual aid tool to help visualize designs and play around with layouts digitally. Always double check your designs against the actual ATX specs!

ITX Motherboard
This is the reference model of the ITX motherboard. The Download will include 2 files, a solid model, and a 3d printable model where the IO shield is separate. You will have to superglue the IO shield on after printing.
Version 1.2 notes:
- Size and mounting holes are accurate to spec
- IO shield position is accurate to spec, but is slightly oversized. The tolerance necessary to install a real IO shield is baked into the model so I make the opening exact same size as shield.
- AM4 CPU height is accurate, can be used to measure cooler height clearance.
- AM4 socket position varies by motherboard. This one is modelled after the Gigabyte B500i Aorus Pro AX.
- AM4 mounting holes are accurate, can install real backplates
- PCIE slot is accurate. Can be used as a design reference.
- RAM dimms can accept DDR4 ram sticks

ITX PCIE GPU
This is the reference model of the ITX
PCIE GPU. The Download will include 2 files, a solid model, and a 3d
printable model where the IO shield is separate. You will have to
superglue the IO shield on after printing.
Version 1.0 notes:
- PCIE card and connector are accurate and to spec. Can slot into the 3d printed model as well as a real motherboard or riser cable.
- IO shield size and position is accurate to spec.
- The bottom of the pcie fingers is thickened, to represent how the metal flange is bent. This is intentional and meant to be 3d printing friendly while also faithful to the spec.

SFX Power Supply
This is the reference model of the SFX power supply. The download will include 2 files, one with 6 mounting holes 4.75mm diameter for installing heat set threaded inserts, and one with mounting holes 3.25mm diameter for screwing 6-32 screws directly into the 3d printed model.
Version 1.0 notes:
- mounting holes are aligned to SFX spec
- Plug location varies by PSU and should not be used as a reference
- Designed for E-Z lock threaded insert for plastic. SKU: 240-006-BR
- print with fan facing up

FLEX Power Supply
This is the reference model of the FLEX power supply. The download will include 2 files, one with 4 mounting holes 4.75mm diameter for installing heat set threaded inserts, and one with mounting holes 3.25mm diameter for screwing 6-32 screws directly into the 3d printed model.
Version 1.0 notes:
- mounting holes are aligned to spec
- Plug location appears standardized, but please would exercise caution using it as a reference as its not confirmed.
- Designed for E-Z lock threaded insert for plastic. SKU: 240-006-BR
- PSU length is not standardized, and will vary by model. The length of this model may not match your actual PSU.
